Our Farm

Our Farm

You know that coffee you drink and feel there's more to it than just the flavor? Like history, family, roots? Well… that's ours.

Our farm was born almost a hundred years ago, back with my grandfather Getúlio Alves, who started everything with a lot of sweat and faith in his heart. He bought a small piece of land, planted the first coffee trees, and over time, it grew. He passed this love to my father, João José Alves de Alvarenga, who not only continued in coffee but wanted to deeply understand what truly made coffee good. He became an agricultural technician, then a coffee technologist, and later an agronomist. He knows so much about farming that it seems like he talks to the plants.

And me? I'm Bruno, the one telling this story. I grew up among coffee trees, but I truly fell in love when I left the farm and saw coffee in the world. I took barista courses in Brazil, then in Australia, then I went to Indonesia, to Europe… I worked and visited several coffee shops and roasters, tasted coffees from all over the world. And do you know what I discovered? That our coffee here on the farm is truly special. It has a sweet, light flavor, with notes of chocolate, caramel, and nuts. A coffee whose story I'm proud to tell.

Today, Fazenda Alves Lima is run with the same love as from the beginning. We treat the soil as if it were a living being. The plant receives the best treatment, with all the knowledge my father accumulated. Imagine a soil and plant nutritionist and dietician, and that's him. And at harvest time, the farm also helps many families in the region, generating income and sustenance for many good people.

Everything you taste in your cup begins long before the bean is ground. It starts way back, in the soil, in the care taken at each stage. We make a point of doing everything with affection, cleanly, beautifully, as it should be.

If you enjoy real coffee, made by people who love what they do, come meet us. Our farm is open to welcome you, for you to smell this aroma, this flavor, this energy.

Sincerely,

Bruno Alves de Alvarenga.
